His name is Matt. He is the middle of three boys, and he would have made a perfect only child. My mom makes homemade soap and other things. She runs her business from home. It's called Season's Essence. Anyway, Matthew is big into trying to save money. Or at least earning money. So he got this great idea to start selling some of Mom's soap. So he set up a little stand at the end of our driveway (much like a lemonade stand) and put up a sign, brought out about 30 bars of plain castile soap and started his little business venture. He called it... Gnome Depot. He thought of that all my himself. Only Matthew. Anyway, we live at the end of a cul-de-sac, so business wasn't exactly booming. After about half an hour he realized he wasn't going to make enough money doing this so he packed up his business and became a traveling salesman. He went door to door within our small neighborhood and started selling bars of soap for five dollars each. He made around 25 dollars! It was pretty funny. Finally Mom told him five wasn't fair so he had to lower the price. He must have decided that that 25 was enough because about that time he came home. Last night, as I walked by the boys' bedroom, I noticed about 20 bars of soap stashed under his bed. He must have big plans for later.

I was surprised. He must have really wanted that money. This is the same boy who said recently that when he grew up he wanted to be the horn on a 'big truck' because all he had to do was sit there and make noises and get paid for it. He's seven years old. He's an intelligent kid, but sometimes I think he has a few loose wires. :)

21-27

21. After coming up empty-handed, I remember that I'm not going crazy and that I know I have stamps somewhere. In a last ditch effort to find a stamp and try to save money (why buy stamps when I know that I have some already?) I look in a box that has a bunch of junk that I cleared out of my desk when I moved. Whoo hoo, a stamp! A 22 cent stamp :( Honestly, I didn't even know those existed anymore. I do not want to look for stamps anymore. I've already wasted 10 minutes. (Okay, so I'm not a patient person) I pack up and head to the Wilk. I'll buy some before work. So, I go for the smallest amount of stamps I can. You can't just buy one, apparently. I decide to buy a book of ten stamps, and for just a few extra cents, support Breast Cancer Research. A good cause, in my opinion. I put my 20 dollar bill in the machine. It was sad. I've been hanging on to that bill for a while. I push the necessary buttons and my stamps drop out...at the same time that $15.50 in CHANGE falls into the change return!! What exactly am I to do with 15 dollars in change??

4-7

4. Probably Mary Stuart Masterson

Which Disney character would I marry? Chang from Mulan or Aladdin.

If I had to live in any other time period, in the past, I would probably say in Jesus Christ's lifetime. If I could time travel to one other time, the late 1800's would be fun to visit :) I haven't seen the future yet, though, so I don't know.

I don't have a favorite season. I love the smell of spring. I LOVE the rain and storms. I love to play in the rain. I also love the snow. Christmas is my favorite holiday. My favorite foods are chocolate and strawberries. Together or seperate. Especially dark chocolate and fresh home grown strawberries. I don't like sweet candy. I like German food. I love to cook. I also love Italian, Mexican and Chinese. Mushrooms are another favorite food, especially morels.

I love seafood, especially crab, but I don't really like lobster. I don't like freshwater fish.

I like vegetables, including brussel sprouts (in lots of butter)
Corn and home-grown green beans are my favorite.

Sometimes I eat dill pickles and cream cheese...together.

I don't like sweet potatoes or yams. I love pie.

I can drink hot chocolate anytime and I think little debbie cakes make a great breakfast. Dark hot chocolate is amazing. So are truffles.

Fruit does not belong on pizza unless it comes in the form of a tomato.
I love tomatoes.

My favorite colors are red, purple, and yellow.

I love photography, horseback riding, bouldering, and fencing. I like sports. I enjoy going to baseball games.
I also like to read, especially historical fiction. I am currently reading the Zion Series by Thoene and the Book of Mormon in French and German.

I love learning new languages. I have 9 on my list to learn, not inluding English and German.

I like my brown eyes.

I like horses and llamas. I prefer dogs over cats, but am probably more like a cat than a dog.

I love to dance. I especially like ballet and ballroom.

I love music, including hymns. If music is playing and I know the words, I sing, and I sing loud. Sometimes I sing when there isn't music. I'm not very good, though.

I want to visit every state in the US and every continent except antarctica. I want to live, work, or volunteer in Europe, South Africa, China, Russia, Egypt, Jerusalem, and South America. That's probably more than I'll have the chance to do in my lifetime, but that's okay. I can hope.

I want to buy diamonds at Tiffany's in New York...or at least visit Tiffany's in New York.

I want to see a Broadway show in Chicago and New York.

I want to go back to the Redwoods.

I want to work in the Peace Corps.

If I were a character from a comic strip, I would probably be Bucky from Get Fuzzy. Very opinionated and a little manipulative. I like Rob, though. He's a nice guy.

I love playing practical jokes on friends and I like having jokes played on me. I particularly like packing peanuts :)

I'm sneaky. I don't get scared or startled very easily but I'm pretty good at scaring other people.

I sing in the shower.

I hate when people leave the toilet paper roll empty.

I love the beach, east coast and west.

I can eat a lot, and I do.

When I'm really tired, I talk in my sleep. Sometimes I speak German and I've been told I sing. Only once.

I like sleep, but sometimes think it's overrated. I hate being awakened(?) by noise around me when I'm tired, but I like when friends wake me up to play.

I don't like going to the bathroom. It takes too much time.

I love surprises...as long as they're good surprises.

Good chocolate, European chocolate, is good for you, and nobody can tell me any different.

I listen to classical music or 80's when I clean. I love music. Just about anything and everything. jazz, classical, 50's, 60's, 80's, musicals, rock, R&B, pop, country, Frank Sinatra, the Temptations, The Supremes, ABBA, Louis Armstrong, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, REO Speedwagon...the list goes on...our apartment CD is pretty much amazing.

This list is a few of my favorite things, in no particular order and subject to change.

Favorite Movies: North and South, Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Wait Until Dark, Schindler's List, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Some Kind of Wonderful, Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Anne of Green Gables (and the sequel), Pride and Prejudice, Benny and Joon, a la folie...pas du tout, Bandits
<img style="FLOAT: right; I had an appointment with the bishop Sunday but he had to leave town at the last minute, so now I have an appointment for next Sunday. It's hard to be patient. Though I'm not sure it's impatience as much as it is excitement. Then again...

I'm a list-maker. I already have a list for after I get my call. There are a lot of things to do, and I just wish I could do them now. I should probably stop making lists, actually.

waiting...

For everybody who needs updated, especially those who are about as anxious for my mission call as I am...this is for you. I'm in Springville, Utah. I'm working full time plus some in order to save as much as I can as I wait for my call. -I take donations :) I'm not taking any classes right now, but I just finished taking ASL, which I loved. I spend most of my time working (7pm-5am) I also sleep and eat sometimes. Right now my life is pretty much booked. Grandpa and Grandma C have plenty of plans and projects for me. So many, in fact, that Grandma doesn't want me to find another job. The plan was to find one more job for just a few more hours everyday. I've been working full time and taking a four credit class (two hours everyday + homework and tests) so I figure a few more hours can't be too bad. I will be taking lots of pictures this fall, my third great love following the gospel and my family and tied with chocolate. One of my best friends, Tara Jayne is getting married and has asked me to take her bridals, which I'm so excited about! And of course, all of the other photos. Candid shots are my favorites. Subjects beware.

Quick subject change: My little sister, who is now actually 18 years old (I still dont think of her as 18) just had a baby girl. Her name is Savannah Nicole and apparently looks a lot like me as a baby. She has a head full of black hair and a dark olive complexion. I don't think my sister had hair until she was two.
